Tools of the Trade
For my fellow guitarists and gearheads, below are some examples of other brands' instruments and effects that I also use regularly. As my tastes change over time, I tend to always be mixing and matching pieces here and there on that perpetual hunt for the ultimate tone!
Guitars
Fender/Warmoth Stratocaster "Partscaster"
This guitar started out originally as a stock 2014 American Standard Strat, and over the years as my tastes changed (and things broke!) I slowly acquired and upgraded numerous parts.
Upgrades:
-Warmoth Custom CBS Style Maple Replacement Neck, with a Scalloped Fretboard, 6100 Stainless Steel Frets, TUSQ Self-Lubricating Nut, and Side-Adjusting Truss Rod Mechanism at the Heel.
-Wilkinson VS100N Chrome Bridge, with GraphTech Saddles.
-GuitarHeads Hexbucker Bridge Pickup (Blue)
-Joe Barden Single Coil Sized Humbucker Neck Pickup
-Jim Dunlop "Super Pot" Volume Potentiometer.
2009 Gibson Custom Shop
1959 ES-335 50th Anniversary Reissue
A stock, excellent playing 50's style reissue, with a huge neck profile, and wonderfully resonant semi-hollow body.
1984 Kramer Pacer Special
This Jersey-made classic is all stock, aside from the Seymour Duncan JB pickup and a refret. The single switch on the body splits the coil of the pickup and also reverses polarity.
Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster
Another excellent player; this Strat comprises the best of two different relic'd Fender Custom Shop models, as the neck from one was put onto the body of another. It consists of a super comfortable "baseball bat" one-piece maple neck, with large frets, custom shop "Fat 50's" single-coil pickups, and all vintage style hardware.
Early 2000's Gibson ES-335 Blonde
Another vintage style monster, this classic "Dot" 335 is another excellent player; true to the versatility that 335's are famed for, and 100% stock.
2019 Sola Custom Guitars Signature Model "Tele-Strat"
The pride of my collection! This guitar was a collaboration of ideas between myself and Sola Custom Guitars'.

-6100 EVO Gold Frets, and Glow in the Dark Side Inlays.
-Schaller Locking Tuners
-Candy Apple Green Metallic Two-Piece Body
Dragonfire Humbucker Neck Pickup, and Arcane EVH Style Bridge Pickup.
-Vintage 1984 Original Floyd Rose Bridge, with Upgraded Brass Hardware

Amplifiers/Cabinets
Custom Handwired Fender Bassman 4x10
My Main Amp!
This amp's life started out as a stock 1990 Fender Bassman (the ones with the circuitboard inside) and by the time I found it in 2021 it was modified with a master volume, two funky "Marshall-esque" channels with way too much treble, celestion speakers, and a whole lot of wiring issues. I brought it over to my friend Billy Penn at 300 Guitars in Toms River, NJ, where he totally gutted it, and redid the entire circuit! Point-to-point hand wired (no more circuit board!) with brand new made in Italy Jensen 50 watt speakers, just like the original Bassmans. It's a CLEAN MACHINE! Crystal clear tone, with a super-wide EQ range, and amazing dynamics. Another cool modification I asked for was to be able to disconnect the four speakers via 1/4" so I could plug an external head into them, just in case I ever broke a tube (which happens sometimes!)
2010's Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 1X12
This Blues Deluxe has been with me for well over 10 years now, and has seen plenty of work. Before the Bassman, this was my main tube amp for a number of years. Aside from new tubes and a bias, the only main upgrades were some new capacitors.
Quilter Labs Tone Block 201 and Pro Block 200
Variable Wattage (Upwards of 200 Each!)
These Quilters are amazing solid-state heads. They have a crystal clean sound, with great dynamic response, and really nice low-end punch, no matter what cabinet I plug them into.
I usually use one at a time, but when I have the chance, sometimes I use the two of them in stereo as a wet-dry setup.
Vox MV50 "Clean" Mini Head 50 watt
My most recent addition to the amp selection in rotation, I have been eyeing this head for quite some time. I finally found one at the New Jersey Guitar and Bass Center in Edison, and was sold within seconds. A solid-state hybrid, it has a Vox "NuTube" that gives it exceptional dynamic response. The fact that it's super small and compact is just another great selling point for me. It never leaves the car, and aside from being a great backup amp, it works perfect in keeping up with a loud band on stage.
DV Mark Neoclassic 2x12 Stereo Cabinet
With up to 300 watts of power handling, this cabinet is super versatile and accepts output from all of my amplifiers, let alone the Quilters or the Vox heads. It has stereo input ability for when I want to use both Quilters in a wet/dry configuration, and sounds amazing in mono or stereo! Being 25lbs isn't a bad bonus, either!
Pedal Boards/Cases
Access Bags and Cases Dual Electric Guitar Gig Bag
I never ever used to use gig bags in the past. I always wanted the reliability and security of hard cases to protect my guitars. Recently, I grew tired of carrying numerous heavy cases to gig after gig, and after a ton of research I finally invested in the Access Dual Electric gig bag, and what a relief that was! It's super sturdy and protective, and reasonably light weight, with plenty of storage.
NYC Cases Custom Removable-Lid Pedal Boards
After joining the Soul Cruisers, I wanted to invest in a really sturdy pedalboard that specifically had a removable lid. After much research, I discovered NYC Cases, and was able to order a custom pedalboard to the exact dimensions that I needed. Later on, I also found one of their stock dimension boards that was smaller than my primary one, which I use for smaller setups that I take on flights.
